Nintendo Switch game card cases on the market today are primarily focusing on offering large capacity and stylish appearance. Concerning the lack of designs to help the elderly players better understand and experience the games, making these products inaccessible for them to use.
My response to address this accessibility issue was to introduce a more portable and accessible Switch game card holder for the elderly players, centred on strengthening the emotional relationship with its holder, and communicating vital information about the games.
Play is everywhere
This project was driven by the brand strategy of 'Play is Everywhere'. It's a way of representing the lifestyle habits of the elderly wearing accessories with them. I decided to create a clip design at the back of the card case. The method of directly attaching their favourite game cards onto their personal items not only makes it easy for users to locate the cards, but also empowering elderly players to enjoy the joy of play, before, during and after every game experience.
